The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has nearly 300 events, which makes it really hard to choose! So, we’ve put together a list of 4 top crawls that’ll have you hopping on trams, exploring Chinatown and checking out Windsor’s laneways for the best European wine, duck and Pinot Noir and a taste of Asia.

RN72, A Journey to the Alps
Calling all wine lovers! We finally have an excuse to drink vino on a Saturday afternoon (though if we’re honest, that’s never stopped us before). Grab a ‘ski pass’ at Milton Wine Shop and indulge in burgundy and buns. From there, take a tram to Toorak Cellars for champagne and oysters. End the afternoon at The Alps with riesling and raclette. Bottoms up!

The Golden Triangle
Chào bạn and konnichiwa! Take your tastebuds on a culinary journey across Vietnam and Japan in this progressive long lunch hosted by Windsor’s beloved ‘Golden Triangle’. Kick off lunch at Hanoi Hannah with Vietnamese canapés and a matching cocktail, then make your way to neighbouring Tokyo Tina for two hawker-style courses and a matched wine. Cap off lunch at Saigon Sally with a selection of signature desserts and another delish cocktail.

Check out our chat with Head Chef Adrian Li before the Golden Triangle event in 2016

Smorgasburd by Sand Hill Road
Smorgasburd is every lazy pub crawlers dream, because after knocking back a few brewskis who has the energy (or motivation) to walk up a few blocks? Sand Hill Road’s pubs are coming together and bringing their most sought after pub fare to you at the famed Bridge Hotel. There’s Bridge Hotel’s burgers, Posty’s pizzas, Richmond Club Hotel’s parmas, Terminus’ seafood, Garden State Hotel’s oysters, Prahran Hotel’s appetisers and Holliava’s infamous cocktails. With all these choices, you’ll never want to leave!

Duck Crawl
It’s the crawl that started them all. MFWF legend, Roy Moorfield, is taking a few lucky duck lovers to Chinatown for an evening of duck and wine. Check out traditional duck dishes from Bamboo House, Tea House and Shark Fin House as you sip on a perfectly matched pinot noir.

Hardcore crawler? Check out the Crawl N Bite events! Each crawl will take you to three of the city’s best venues for a signature dish and a matched drink (natch!). Explore the city’s famous laneways, the best late-night dining and drinking spaces and the best of Carlton (it’s more than Little Italy), with 13 different crawls there’s something for everyone!
