Bed Reckoning (Fringe)

fri - sun

Shopping in IKEA is dangerous for any couple, and when Josh and Sasha go looking for a bed, the underlying tensions in their relationship begin to erupt. It’ll take an interfering housemate with a Julie Andrews obsession to get them to put away Grindr, learn to communicate, and overcome the agony of constructing Swedish furniture.

The hilarious new musical comedy from Darwent & Gray (2016 Melbourne Fringe Hit ‘The Adulteresses’) explores modern relationships in the age of torso-based dating apps and committed polygamy, where there are no instructions, parts often don’t seem to fit together, and meatballs sometimes contain horse.

Featuring all-original songs, this campy yet penetrating look at modern gay life will appear on the intimate upstairs stage of iconic Melbourne institution, The Butterfly Club, opening on the 12th of September and running for six consecutive nights.

  • 7.00PM - 8.00PM
