The where-are-we-drinking-tonight struggle is over! From relaxed wine bars to bars to bars with the hottest talent, Time Out Melbourne has got you covered. And with such a huge number of bars in Melbourne, can you believe two bars brought home two awards! Which ones? Hint: It’s looking like 2017 is a good year for Whisky drinkers and cocktail lovers.
The #TOBarAwards kicked off the night at the newly refurbished and super trendy Corner Hotel rooftop with all your favourite classic drinks like G&Ts, Teeling small batch on the rocks and Yenda beers.
It wouldn’t be a foodie event without snacks to wash it down with. And the menu was made for veggie lovers with 3 cheese arancini balls with saffron mayo, cauliflower-stuffed burgers (sounds weird, tasted amaze!) and grilled beer cheese sangas with leek confit. Meatlovers were kept satisfied with Korean Fried Chicken with Sriracha mayo. But the true standout dish was dessert: a chocolate tartlet with gold flecks. So sinful, but so worth it! We may have had more than a couple… (Shh!) It was a great taste of the new menu from The Corner – we can’t wait to get back there for a full feast.
Rhys Nicholson MCd the event and was bloody funny, cheeky, inappropriate and delightful all at once. He zipped through the winners and here is what he announced.
