Gala Dinner ft. Martin Grant
It might just be the most unusual runway show of the year. Melbourne-bred, Paris-based designer Martin Grant is collaborating with a celebrated Melbourne chef to pull off a solo runway show paired with a decadent dining experience. Inspired by the changing seasons, fashion, food, music and art take guests on a whirlwind multi-sensory journey. It’s a black-tie affair with champagne and canapés on arrival, four bespoke cocktails inspired by the seasons and a three-course feast to indulge in as well as an exclusive gift bag to take home.
Join The Eternal Headonist and The Accessories Project for an evening celebrating Surrealist-inspired designer, Schiaparelli. Once Coco Chanel’s fiercest rival, Elsa Schiaparelli was among the most renowned pre-World War II designers. In the intimate Georges Arcade store, vintage Schiaparelli hats and jewelry is showcased alongside millinery inspired by the iconic designer. So dress in your Schiaparelli best, be entertained with burlesque dancers, surreal fashion and photography and raise a bespoke drink to this 1930’s fashion icon.
SEPTEMBER 1 – 8
Of course, it wouldn’t be Melbourne Fashion Week without the runway shows. There are 2 Garage Runways for the local lovers, 6 Premium Runways for the fashion fanatics and even an Ethical Runway for the socially conscious.
