Melbourne’s favourite foodie festival, The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, is back for its 24th year from March 31 to April 9. There are over 280 events that span the festival but some of them are here for only one day!! So, check out the list below so you don’t miss out on wagyu cheeseburger macaroons, fine dining food trucks or the best breakfast martinis.

The Breakfast Club
Sunday, April 2
There are only a couple of things more sacred to Melburnians than brunch…coffee and booze. And the House of Food and Wine is serving up all three! It’s pretty much foodie heaven with MoVida, Magic Mountain Saloon, Tokyo Tina, Marios Café, Top Paddock, Higher Ground, Longhorn Saloon and Om Nom teaming up to create the breakfast of your Instagram dreams. MoVida will also have all your wine and sherry needs covered while award-winning Romeo Lane will be offering specially crafted breakfast martinis and Bloody Marys. After this brunch, we promise you’ll be pumping your first in the air a la John Bender.

Best of the Beast: Offal vs. Primal
Wednesday, April 5
We know offal dishes can be intimidating, but on occasion (and this is one of them) it’s worth moving out of your comfort zone and really trying something different. It also helps that Northern Git’s Head Chef, Michael Slade is a nose-to-tail culinary genius. He’ll be serving up ten courses in five rounds that’ll have you salivating over the best cuts of meat and drooling over surprisingly delicious offal dishes paired with matching wines. You’ll get to play judge and determine which cut of meat wins. Be courageous and give it a go!

The Melbourne Burger Invitational 2.0
Thursday, April 6
Welcome to Thornbury is hosting some of Melbourne’s biggest and juiciest burger joints. 1090 Burgers, Beatbox Kitchen, Mr. Burger, YOMG! and Royal Stacks will be setting up shop and competing for the title of Melbourne’s Best Burger. Interstate burger haunt, BL Burgers will also be there repping Sydney. Plus, you can enjoy your burger (or if we’re being honest, burgers) with free flowing beer, wine or cider. But get in quick, last year’s event was completely sold out!
