Ah, food and wine – a Melbournian’s two deepest loves.

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival will be back in 2016 with returning favourites like Bank of Melbourne’s World’s Longest Lunch and Masterclass but is stuffed like a Christmas Turkey with a heap of new treats to get stuck into.

Again in 2016 you can achieve foodie perfection with the Acqua Panna Perfect Match and let expert host Matt Skinner, along with some of Australia’s hottest chefs share their knowledge and methods of food and wine matching.

The new events we’ve picked on our list of fav’s for 2016 are all collaborative events, making them one big party!!

From the 4th to the 6th of March, MFWF is holding a new event called the City Cellar, in which 60 of the states best wineries merge to create one giant Victorian wine party (yay!). Taste quality vino’s, munch on tasting plates of heavenly regional produce and enjoy live music on the green lawns overlooking the Yarra. Fingers crossed Melbourne weather behaves!

Another newbie also held from the 4th to the 6th of March is the River Graze, where the Yarra will transform to create a food and wine lovers’ dream hosting live entertainment, topped off with an abundance of flavoursome events that capture Melbourne’s regional deliciousness.

The Urban Dairy at the Festival Hub is just one of the ten events that will be held at the River Graze, where cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream makers will all come together to share their signature produce and pay tribute to all things dairy.

This is only the very tip of the fancy plated up iceberg, with 290 events including 25 free events and counting and over 30 countries/cultures celebrated throughout the course, you’ll have to check out the MFWF website to hand pick your favourtites. We do recommend you grab your tickets now and get ready to gather, slurp, savour, gulp, nibble and share from the 4th to the 13th of March.

Friends of On The List, Kamber, have put together this tasty little video enjoy!  (BYO bib)
