Keen for Halloween, but not sure on what to go for? Its right around the corner, which means dreaded torture and absolute horror. For this spooky season, we’ve taken on the graveyard shift to go on a real witch hunt to find the horrifyingly best events to make it On The list — as well as a couple of skeletons along the way. So If you’re going to have your pants scared off, you might as well dance with them off too.
ON THE LIST FRIDAY
There’s nothing strange with heading over to Swagger’s Stranger Things Halloween. The Bottom End have made the top end of On The List for a reason. Kick off your frightening weekend with a hip hop monster mash. You won’t know what to scared of – the costumes or how good Beyonce’s new album is.
This is one place you’ll definitely want to be caught dead in. If you’re looking to spice up your night, Brown Alley Nightclub are bringing their authentic and signature Lain heat. The Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, or ‘Day of the Dead’ is about celebrating those who have passed. This party does that with scorching hot DJ’s and a live Mariachi Band.
Don’t throw your costume in the wash just yet because Laundry Bar are coming at you with gold teeth and fangs. Creep through the doors at 9 for the fresh to death live rappers to absolutely slay you into the afterlife. So scrub yourself up for a dirty, dirty night on the dance floor.
You’re going to be digging your own grave if you don’t make sure you visit this actual grave. Because these boots were made for walking, so that’s what they’re gonna do. One of these Halloween’s these boots are going to walk all over the Melbourne General Cemetery. Get taken through the lives and bodies of actual iconic Melbournians. For those with a spring in their step who don’t mind a chill down their spine.
Let’s ride into Halloween with a full stomach because the darkest holiday of the year just got a little tastier. Everyone knows this night is meant to be scary, but nobody ever thinks about how delicious it can be. You mouth will be screaming when its full of Melbourne’s best food truck cuisine.

We found love in a spooky place. Who needs a Romeo when you can get yourself a Dracula. CitySwoon has set up a killer dating algorithm and a killer Halloween party. First they set you up with a drink, then a date. Hell, you might find the one, and have one hell of a night.

This monster mash not only takes you down memory lane, but down the past century. With rooms for the 50’s, 60’s, 80’s and 90’s, you are sure to find the perfect vintage sound for your spooky night.
Make sure you’re not in the dark this weekend by heading over to Luna Dark this Halloween. The night of fright has made a return . Get ready to be freaked out by the official freaks from American Horror Story: Freakshow. Your blood run cold when you hear about the Autopsy alley, Spider’s Lair or spinning wheel of death. We’re not taking a stab in the dark when we tell you that this is not a night to miss.
ON THE LIST SUNDAY
Who you gonna call this Halloween? Alumbra of course with their Ghostbusters Halloween. Scare that hunger away with Chef Hat awarded New York street food from chef Daniel Wilson (Huxtaburger). From 9PM onwards, the live band is switched for Le Soul – a dynamic live, disco and soul based show. Alumbra is definitely the place to have a little rumba. We’re definitely not afraid of this Ghostbusters soul fusion party.
