The Global Citizen

A hilarious Australian theatrical production set inside the hyper-glossed walls of a
fictional department store, which explores the exploitation of workers in retail.

The Global Citizen is a comedy, which seeks to explore employment law issues faced
by workers in retail such as: workplace bullying, wage inequality and poor
management. Written by Verity Norbury and created by the team at Norbury
Productions, a new independent theatre group focused on making performances that
highlight legal issues in the community, we are very excited to present this work. This
production has also been shaped with the support of The Butterfly Club and presented
as part of their One-Act Play Festival. The Global Citizen is perfect for anyone who
knows, all too well, the pain of working in (or purchasing from) Australia’s leading
retailers.
