Run to the Dog

Moon Dog Craft Brewery is bringing back its annual Run to the Dog event for its fourth consecutive year.

To be held on Sunday, 3rd March 2019, Run to the Dog is a trail run or walk along the Yarra Trail through Kew, Richmond and Abbotsford that participants can enter with or without their beloved pooches.

If you are a spectator, you don’t have to pay an entry fee – just turn up! Orange Theory Fitness will be running a pre-run / walk warm up and then a cool down post- event.

The best part? Once you cross the finish line, you’ll be handed a free / well deserved ice-cold Moon Dog beer (wine and cider are available too if preferable) and then it’s a party in the park at Flockhart Reserve fir for both humans and hounds.

Moon Dog will be serving up drinks from its pop up + Food Trucks – Ghost Kitchen, Sliders on Tyres and Gringo Paella. Coffee Supreme will be on site too handing out free Cold Brew Coffees. It’s a total dog’s life too with Fitzroy Dog Adventures plus Scratch Dog, Blue Wheelers and Shoot the Dog. On the day, Shoot the Dog will be hosting a doggie photo booth! Images will be available to purchase for $10 and ALL money raised from picture purchases plus raffles on the day will go towards Save a Dog – a community-based, not-for-profit animal welfare organisation that saves hundreds of dogs and cats from being killed each year.

On the day, collect your race number from the event village at Flockhart Reserve Park in Abbotsford between 10am – 11:30am then its approximately a 300m walk to the start line at the bottom of Walmer Street in Kew from the registration area.

The FULL DOG – 10KM Trail Run
12:30pm Start
$50 Entry Fee

The HALF DOG – 5KM Trail Run / Walk
12pm Start
$30 Entry Fee

The LAZY DOG – 2KM Trail Run / Walk
12:25pm Start
$20 Entry Fee

Entry includes 1 x FREE Moon Dog beer / cider / wine once you cross the finish line
Prizes will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category
Kids under 16 can enter any category for just $10
