Melbourne Tomato Festival

The humble tomato has come to typify Italian culture through it’s use in cooking, customs and festivals – and Melbourne’s Italian community isn’t about to let that go any time soon! In a movement to preserve authentic Italian tradition in a new territory, The Melbourne Tomato Festival brings together local farmers, special guests, cooking demonstrations – and, of course, passata making – whilst providing a great opportunity to raise funds for SecondBite. Pretty big turnout for a fruit that’s not native to Italy OR Australia!
