Australia Swims

Australia Swims has been introduced by Optus and Swimming Australia to encourage all Australians to celebrate their love for the water this January. Over nine days, from January 20-28 all Australians are being urged to swim at an event, a pool, the beach or somewhere else (rock pools or waterfalls).
This Australia Day, Melburnians can celebrate their love for the water at the scenic Brighton Beach for the Great Australia Day Swim.
Collectively, Swimming Australia have set the challenge to virtually swim around Australia, tackling 35,000kms, past 10,000 beaches, using over 21 million people to complete just one tiny lap in nine days.
